1 Booking

Responsibility for the details of the bookings and for payments lies with the person making the initial booking.

2 Deposits

Deposits are for summer bookings only. Summer payment in full must accompany bookings from 12 April 2008 and thereafter.

Payment of the deposit is regarded as your acceptance of the booking conditions and is non-refundable. Deposits are non-transferable. Confirmation of all bookings made by deposit will be sent with a reminder of the outstanding balance. The outstanding balance must be paid by Monday 2 June 2008.

3 Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your booking, for whatever reason, a £10 administration fee will be payable.

All cancellations, for whatever reason are subject to the following charges*:

More than 30 days Loss of deposit plus £10 administration fee

14 – 29 days Loss of 50% of the course fee, plus deposit plus administration fee

1 – 13 days Loss of 75% of the course fee, plus deposit plus administration fee

On or after commencement Loss of 100% of course fee

As an alternative to a charge, payment could be used to offset a booking for the following year. This should be discussed at the time of the cancellation.

Parents should consider making their own arrangements for insurance against illness.

4 Discounts

Only one discount can be claimed per booking ie either group booking OR company discount.

4.1 Group discounts

Entitlement to a group discount (£25 per child) will be granted on receipt of a booking for four children or for four places (ie 2 children attending for 2 weeks). The discount must be claimed at the time of booking. Group discounts cannot be applied retrospectively. Orwell Park Activities will not accept those who wish to ‘join’ an existing group in order to claim the discount.
Group discounts will not apply to fees for late stays.


4.2 Company discounts

A discount of £20 per child per week is available to employees of organisations who have signed up to the OPA Company Discount scheme. Please complete company discount box on the Booking Form.

5 Late stays

The collection time for late stays is 5.30pm. Orwell Park Activities reserves the right to refuse to offer late stays should it deem the parent unreliable in collecting their child by 5.30pm.
The late stay fee would be refunded in these circumstances.

6 Timetable

Orwell Park Activities reserves the right to alter the advertised timetable but would provide a replacement similar activity to that cancelled.


7 Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our course, you must report it at once to the manager of the course so that we are given the opportunity to resolve the problem. Should we not be able to resolve your problem, you should ask for a copy of our complaints policy.


8 Negligence

Orwell Park Activities accepts responsibility for those elements of the course under our direct control. We cannot accept responsibility for the loss of enjoyment due to factors outside of our control such as: bad weather, travel arrangements, strikes, loss or damage to personal property or illness suffered whilst on the course.

9 Valuables

We recommend strongly that children do not bring valuables, money or mobile phones onto site. Orwell Park Activities will not be held responsible for the loss of any valuables.

10 Uncleared cheques

Orwell Park Activities will pass on the bank fee that we are charged as well as our own administration fee of £10 to any parent whose cheque is not cleared by their bank.

11 Summer week 1 - Late Start Discount

Some schools may not break-up for summer holidays until Tuesday 22 July. A 'Late Start' discount of £25 (only applicable to Summer Week 1) is available if you wish to pay for this part-week only. Please tick box on the Booking Form. Late Start Discount MUST be taken at the time of booking. It CANNOT be applied retrospectively.

‘Late Start’ reduction may be used in conjunction with other discounts, however £25 is the reduction in full. It is not a daily rate, nor can it be used for part payment of other summer weeks.
